Herndon, Va., November 18, 2022 – Expel, the security operations provider that aims to make security easy to understand, use and improve, today announced its inclusion on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™. The ranking lists the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech, and energy tech companies in North America. “We’re incredibly proud to be ranked on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list two years in a row. It validates the incredible momentum and sustainable fast growth our company has experienced in recent years,” said Dave Merkel, CEO and co-founder of Expel. “We’ve built a culture where leaders take care of our crew, our crew takes care of our customers, and the rest — well, it just works itself out. I couldn’t be prouder of our team. We’ve built an amazing platform that, along with our people, provides high-quality detection and response capabilities at scale. This combination of culture and capability will continue to drive our growth.”

“Our mission of providing security that makes sense resonates with our target market and has contributed to our growth,” said Matt Peters, Chief Product Officer at Expel. “Not only are we effective at protecting our customers, but we also continue to get great feedback on the threat intelligence and thought leadership we publish to help strengthen the broader security community. Our most recent Quarterly Threat Report is just one example of how we turn our effective threat detection and response work into indispensable content for customers and the wider industry.”
The Expel Quarterly Threat Report (QTR) showcases the established and emerging trends and incidents the Expel security operations center (SOC) team observed across customer environments. The SOC team gathers its findings through investigations into alerts, email submissions, and hunting leads and threats from the third quarter of 2022 (July 1 to September 30). A thorough analysis of incidents identifies patterns and trends to help guide strategic decision-making and operational processes.
Expel’s placement on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 adds to the impressive list of recent industry recognition for the company.
