Cybersecurity Awareness Month
A secure world is built together
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Secure our world
with CISA
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance co-lead Cybersecurity Awareness Month every October.
CISA’s goal is to raise awareness about digital security, and help everyone protect their data from cyberattacks. Each year, CISA focuses on the initiative: secure the world.
But this year, we’re putting our own Expel spin on Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We’re highlighting security practitioners, and their connection to you—whether you’re a fellow security practitioner or marketer, and everything in between!

A secure world is built together means what, exactly?
Great question! Expel’s theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2024 is a secure world is built together.
When thinking about awareness for this year, we realized a lot of content is often targeted at the general public. And while that’s important, we thought it was critical to highlight the relationship between them and those hardworking security pros behind the scenes.
Trust is a two-way street and a foundation for securing the world. You have to trust that the policies and guidelines your security teams put in place are in your best interest, and they have to trust that you will follow those to the best of your ability. So, in essence: a secure world is built together, because we can’t achieve security without working together.
Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing resources that connect the practitioner with the user, with in-the-trenches-advice for good cybersecurity practices on both sides of the fence.
Stay tuned!
