Expel Customer Advisory Board

Connect. Collaborate. Influence.

Where security leaders shape what’s next in detection and response

The Expel Customer Advisory Board (CAB) brings together experienced, hands-on leaders who want meaningful influence and a direct hand in shaping what comes next.

Whether you’re leading a SOC, overseeing incident response, or navigating complex security operations, this is your space to swap ideas, challenge assumptions, help Expel invest in what matters—for your team today and your team tomorrow.

A board with influence.
A community with impact.

Through a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, CAB members help shape where Expel is headed and how we support teams like yours. Members tell us they value:

Influence & insight

Direct input on product strategy, roadmap priorities, and service enhancements—with early visibility into what’s coming, including co-creation workshops and big ideas.

Real peers

Candid, off-the-record conversations about what’s working (and what’s not).

Direct connection

A trusted line to Expel’s leadership, product, and engineering teams to share feedback, both in person and in our dedicated Slack community for CAB members.

Practical perspective

A collaborative space that blends forward outlooks with day-to-day operational realities.

Here’s what you’re signing up for

What's the time commitment?

We ask CAB members to commit to a two-year term and actively participate in both in-person and virtual sessions.

  • Time commitment: Attend at least one in-person meeting (1.5 days) and two virtual sessions (2–3 hours each) per year.
What does participation look like?

We’re looking for energy and insight. This isn’t a passive seat at the table.

  • Speak up: Your perspective makes this board worth showing up for.
What expenses are covered?

We invest in your experience so you can focus on the conversation.

  • Invest: We’ll pick up your hotel, meals, and everything on-site. You cover air travel and make space in your calendar to be fully present.
Do you offer compensation?

This isn’t a paid gig—but it comes with plenty of perks.

  • Perks, not pay. We can’t offer financial compensation—but you’ll get exclusive access, thoughtful swag, and a standout experience every time.
Who should apply?

Membership is by invitation only, but you can also apply to be considered. Our group is limited in size to allow for intimate discussions between peers. CAB members are:

  • Senior security leaders. Typically leading security operations, detection and response, cyber defense, or threat intelligence.
  • Collaborative and curious. Natural problem-solvers who bring ideas, challenge assumptions, and push the conversation forward.
